Description
Step right up to Nana Projects Circus themed Shadow Puppet workshop! Use simple paper cutouts and overhead projectors to cast shadows onto a screen that spring to life with depth and movement! Inspired by the world of the circus in Alonzo’s Lullaby make your own tigers, trapeze artists and lion tamers.
During Nana Projects Shadow Puppet Workshop participants of all ages create shadow puppets from start to finish. Based on traditional shadow puppet techniques from around the world Nana Projects lead the participants in making puppets with moving parts and exploring the shadows they create on the screen.
The workshop is free and open to the public, and is appropriate for all ages. Space is limited to 20 people. Please call 410-752-8558 for more information and to register.
Nana Projects Shadow Puppet Workshop is part of QuestFest, a two-week international visual theatre festival. QuestFest features groundbreaking work from exceptional performers and companies dedicated to the use of movement, gesture, and digital media to tell stories. By stripping away the artifice of language, QuestFest builds bridges between disparate communities and cultures.
