Dakshina/Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company and Deep Vision Dance Company are excited to present a diverse evening of dance at the Baltimore Theatre Project on March 30-31, 2012. The partnership was conceptualized to reflect the rich culture of the Baltimore community. Dakshina warms the audience with Singh’s signature fusion work, "Vasanth." Switching genres, Singh presents "Since You've Asked," a tender duet for two men. Other highlights include Eric Hampton’s "By the Light...," a dance depicting Hampton’s struggle with Lou Gehrig’s disease, and a reconstructed work by modern dance icon Anna Sokolow. Immersing the audience with videography and translucent mirrors, Deep Vision Dance Company features Nicole A. Martinell’s "Fractured Spectrum," a work traversing the continuum from dark, ambiguous self-absorption to light, clarity, and compassion, and "Inner Palette," a solo sifting through the complex layers of the psyche. **There will be a free preview on Wednesday, March 28 at 8pm. Admission is free and we will be "passing the hat!"**
